WHEN TO SHOP FOR YOUR PROM DRESSES 2020
The best time to start prom dress shopping is anytime from October. All the new styles will be in by January at the latest. Its best to start your search as early as you can as some dresses can take a little while to order and you want to ensure you get first pick! Our 2020 prom collection is already available in store for you to try on. Don’t forget we have a big prom dresses 2020 launch on the 14th of December 2019. ALTERING YOUR DRESS
Most prom dresses will need altering as they are not made to measure. Altering the length, straps and area around the bust is quite common. Bear in mind when budgeting for your dress that there may be an alteration cost and this will also take time to be done. We offer an in-store alterations service to any girls that have brought their prom dress from us.
WHAT SHOES TO CHOOSE
If you intend to wear high heels on the day, bring them with you when you go shopping. This will give you a much better idea of how the dresses look and if it will need the length altering. If you are happier in flats, make sure to bear this in mind with the style of dress you go for. Slinky, fishtail styles tend to need higher heels whilst a-line dresses and ball-gowns can easily take sparkly slip-ons, open toe shoes or even trainers.
We also stock prom shoes. Most of the shoes we stock have a matching purse.
BEFORE YOU GO SHOPPING
Make sure to have some idea of budget in mind before you go shopping for your dress. It can also be helpful to do some research online to find what styles and colours you like the look of. We also recommend wearing nude coloured undergarments or a strapless bra; it will enhance the look and fit of each dress you try on.
