Getting married in 2020 has been the toughest challenge couples have faced. Weddings ordinarily come with some amount of stress during the planning phase. Now imagine planning for the unknown ! This is what most 2020 brides have faced. We dream of our perfect weddings from a tender age of about five. By the time we hit 10 you would’ve design sketched your dress and your Prince Charming. When the proposal arrives you are ready. You know exactly how you want the day to proceed, well you did until the world presented us with a pandemic.
Beckie recently had a micro wedding. I have to applaud here for being a calm and collected bride despite all the last minute changes she had to make. She called me just two weeks before to schedule her fitting. It was such a joy and great honour to help her with her wedding dress. Here is her story.
We got married at long furlong barn in Worthing on 26.09.20. Covid postponed our wedding from 22.08.20 to 22.08.21 – we knew we wanted to be married and get on with the rest of our lives so decided on a micro wedding with just 26 guests of close friends and family. Loved the way we did it, it was so relaxed and intimate! Our guests wore masks and we had strict social distancing but it still felt so so special. The most important thing to us was everyone we loved was there and now we are husband and wife!
How was wedding dress shopping for you?
Before I tried any dresses I loved the look of tea lengths – just love the retro feel – I’ve never been a fan of full length dresses and I’m more of a jeans and jumper person in real life! I only tried on about 5 dresses in total
I remember trying on three floor lengths and saying to my sister ‘I’m never gonna find one I like’ before she encouraged me to try a tea length.
I felt so so comfy and fun and ME in a tea length – felt like I could move about.and loves the lace and added additional of a sparkly belt. The full length dresses I tried were beautiful but the tea length was always the one for me 🙂
Thank you so much for your help you were amazing helping me find my dress 🥰
Congratulations to the most humble amazing bride & groom. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together. This could not have been easy but you did it! We can not wait for the big reception next year.
